The second edition of Slow Wine Fair will be taking place at BolognaFiere from the 26th to 28th of February
After a very successful and participated start, though at a difficult time, the international fair dedicated to good, clean and fair wine will be held again in Bologna from the 26th to 28th of February.
Slow Wine Fair is the convention for those producers from across Italy and the rest of the world who have gathered around the Slow Food Manifesto for good, clean and fair wine, which has originated the Slow Wine Coalition.
Slow Wine Fair is the result of the profitable collaboration between Sana, the international exhibition of organic and natural products organized by BolognaFiere, and Slow Food, the association founded by Carlo Petrini in 1986, advocating biodiversity, sustainability, fairness and quality in the food industry.
The first edition of Slow Wine Fair has attracted more than 6,000 participants, who came to taste over 2,300 labels from 542 participating wineries – half of which were certified organic or biodynamic, well representing 20 countries around the world and each region in Italy.
The rich programme of masterclasses, conferences, forums and discussions organized supports the Slow Wine Fair as an opportunity to raise awareness on sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, protection of the landscape, careful use of resources, ecological transition and the socio-cultural growth of rural communities among consumers and producers.
The 2023 edition will also present a focus on sustainability partners – innovative technological solutions, tools and services for the wine world – beside an extensive presentation of the world of spirits and liqueurs, from the beloved Italian “aperitivo” to digestif.
